The IMS Training
department is staffed by Certified Environmental Trainers (CET) and
provides training to both internal and external customers in our
dedicated classroom facilities and at our customers' facilities. We
provide 40 hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous and Waste Operations and Emergency
Response), 8 hour updates as mandated by OSHA requirements, and confined
space entry training, to name just a few of our offerings.
This department conducts
training, combined with table top exercises and field exercises,
tailored to meet the strict requirements of the National Preparedness
for Response Exercise Program (PREP). IMS provides expert consultation
and facilitation in the design, development, control, and evaluation of
pollution simulations required under PREP. PREP is a voluntary program
that satisfies the requirements of the United States Coast Guard (USCG),
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Mineral Management
Service (MMS).
IMS provides training in
emergency response procedures ranging from initial responder training to
Incident Command Training. In addition, our training department provides
expert consultation and training on all aspects of the Oil Pollution Act
of 1990 (OPA-90).
IMS is also a
National Safety Council Training Agency for CPR and First Aid!
